Pregnancy is a time of exceptional nutritional needs, not just for the healthy development of your baby but also to keep you strong during this phase and beyond. Focus on a diet generous in healthy fats, organic protein sources, and fresh organic and seasonal vegetables and fruits should be foremost rather than relying solely on supplementation. However, it can be a challenge to meet the required needs daily and sometimes we all fall short. The selections below draw on years of my own research and experience in women’s pregnancy health, including consideration of MTHFR gene mutation.
